Scenic historic trails through the Sierra National Forest. The run takes you past 3000 year old Giant Sequoias in the famous Nelder Grove. The Fun Run loop is actually 11K, but who's counting? Elevation is 5,000 - 6,500 ft. Time limit 8 hours. Pets are not allowed on the trail, so please leave your doggies at home!
Event Start Location
Green Meadows Outdoor School, Fish Camp, California. 2 miles outside Yosemite National Park on Hwy 41. Only one hour drive north of Fresno International Airport.
Start Time:
7am for 50K,
7:15 am for 20K Fun Run
8-hour limit for 50K
Course Description
31plus miles of old forest roads and single-track trails. Passing though 3,200 year-old Giant Sequoia Trees in famous Nelder Grove, bring your camera. Elevation gain 5,932'.
Aid stations every 4 to 7 miles. Please carry water at all times.
Awards
Overall winners; men/women and age groups. Big Baz's “Magic” Raffle will follow the awards, bring your chairs and enjoy the gayety. Soup & salad for all finishers in dining hall.
Weather
ways magic, ask anyone! Temperatures 50 to 75 degrees. Come prepared.
