The Frederick Women's Distance Festival is presented by the Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club. This fun race for female runners and walkers promotes health and fitness among women of all ages and abilities. It's a great experience for competitive racers, recreational walkers/joggers and everything in between. Runners may compete both as individuals and as members of teams.
In addition to the main 5k race, we offer the "Little Women 1k Fun Run" for girls ages 13 and under. Strollers are allowed in the Fun Run and registered participants are welcome to run/walk with their favorite adult.
Proceeds benefit the Women's Giving Circle of Frederick County, assisting local women and children in need
