My name is Josh Billings, and last year as a sophomore at Quaker Valley High School I was required to do a “personal project.” I eventually decided that I wanted to organize a benefit 5k for Lymphoma. I chose lymphoma because my dad was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma a year and a half ago. I believe that no individual or family should go through something like my dad and out family did.
Last year we had over 300 participants and were able to donate $12,000 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. All of the money went to research for Mantle Cell Lymphoma and will hopefully help find a cure. This year, we want to go even bigger! But to do that, we need your help. Sign up if you want to run or walk and have a great time with friends. It is sure to be another great community event. Just be ready to Freeze Your Lymphs Off!
Event Start Location
The race will begin at Edgeworth Elementary: 200 Meadow Lane, Sewickley PA 15143. The Run will start at 9:00 am, and the walk will start immediately after the run.
Course Description

Awards
A medal will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups: under 9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+. Also the top three overall male and females will each receive a medal.
Packet Pickup / Expo
If you want your shirt, chip, and bib early, and don't want to have to worry about it the day of the race, you can go to Elite Runners and Walkers on Thursday February 14, and Friday February 15 during their normal hours:

Timing / Results
This race will be timed using ChampionChip timing by Runner's High. You will be able to keep, or throw away your chip at the end of the race. Race results will be available on www.RunHigh.com
Post Race Activities
After the race there will be awards given, and food/refreshments inside the school.
Weather
As the name of the race states, it will be very cold! However, before and after the race will be based inside. If it snows, the race will still be held. Get ready to freeze your lymphs off!

Parking
Parking information is displayed on google maps through this link: http://g.co/maps/5mj7e. Please park at Parking lot number 1 shown on the map. The first row of parking spaces will be reserved for patients at the office. It is located at:
301 Ohio River Blvd # 100
Sewickley, PA 15143-1300
There will be a bus to transport race participants from that parking lot to the school. There is no parking at the school.
