9th Annual SOAR Run Through the Orchards |

SOAR 5K/10K Run Through the Orchard Information
Certified 5K and 10K, all-dirt course through the scenic walnut, avocado and orange groves celebrating open space and agriculture in Ventura County. 10K Starts at 8:00 am, 5k starts at 8:30 am. Onsite registration starts at 7:00 am.
Eight age categories from under-13 through over 70. Race prizes will be awarded in each category and for overall men's and women's runners for 5K and 10K.
Registration includes a raffle drawing ticket and a limited edition tote bag made from recycled materials. Water and refreshments will be provided.
T-Shirts will be available for purchase at the race.
Proceeds support SOAR, a local organization dedicated to making Ventura County a better place to live by limiting urban sprawl, protecting open space and agricultural lands, and promoting livable and sustainable communities.
The SOAR Run Through the Orchards is part of the SOAR Trail Run Series. 4 Great Races dedicated to promoting SOAR and Trail Running in Ventura County.
PARTICIPANTS WHO COMPLETE 3 OUT OF 4 OF THE EVENTS WILL RECEIVE SPECIAL AWARDS.

Event Start Location
Directions: Exit Hwy 23 at Tierra Rejada. Go west one block. Turn left on Sunset Valley Rd. Turn left through the Underwood Family Farm center parking lot and follow the signs for the Walnut Grove parking.

Chondromalacia is a term used to describe damage or softening of the articular cartilage on the underside of the kneecap. It is similar to patellofemoral pain syndrome (runner's knee), which refers to pain under and around the knee cap.
