BAZ the RD welcomes you to the 2010 Summer Trail Run Series in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Over the last 26 years of organizing trail races in Southern Cal, I feel it is time for runners in the Central Valley area to enjoy a new running adventure! Many ultra runners know of my long-standing Shadow of the Giants 50K in Fish Camp, but maybe not know of the many other miles of mountain trails in the Sierras, just north of Oakhurst. The trails will be well marked and aid stations will provide all your fluid needs as required. Of course we do suggest you carry water at all times.

Event Start Location
The start is at the Shadow of the Giants loop at 8:30 AM following the trail briefing.
Course Description
Start at the Shadow of the Giants loop. Head north on 6S90, making sure you turn right and head towards Jackson Road. Turn right where the 50K run goes and up and over thru the Graveyard of the Giants back down in Nelder Grove and back to finish line at Shadow of the Giants.
Awards
Overall awards to top three men and woman, age group awards.
Weather
The weather is usually clear blue sky and temperatures around 60 to 70 degrees. Always magic for running, but come prepared for all possible conditions because the races will go on regardless.
Directions
Directions to Start: From Oakhurst, drive 4.1 miles north on Highway 41 and turn R on to Road 632, signed as Sky Ranch Road. This road becomes 6S10. Turn L at the sign for Shadow of the Giants and Nelder Grove Campground, then turn L again at the next junction and drive 0.5 miles to reach the trailhead. It's 11.5 miles from Oakhurst.
