This race began as the original Pittsburgh Marathon and has evolved into
one of the better warm-up races used by many Pittsburghers to prepare
for the spring marathon season. It also makes a great prep race for
Just A Short Run - 1/2 marathon/30K also held in North Park the last
Saturday of March.

In 2013, despite a cold start and snow as the race began,
we hit the highest number of Finishers ever with 932 and over
1250 registered (some let the weather scare them off),
so the area's runners obviously are tough!

All others while supplies last. We will do our best but please pre-register.

15 mile finishers will receive a pair of gloves and
20 mile finishers will receive a commemorative neck gaiter

How to Avoid The Porta Potty During a Race
We've all seen it and most of us have done it ... 30 minutes (or less) into a race athletes are already looking for a port potty. The good news is that it doesn't have to be that way. The secret is a proper hydration plan before the gun goes off, and here's how you do it.

Average Rating:
Recent Review: Overall the event was well run and this is a small complaint but the water stations need spread out so everyone can get water. I passed up many stations because there were too many people in one small space trying to get water. Spread the tables out further to allow a separation of tables and runners.
