This is the 6th Annual HMR and the race has developed a strong core following who love the challenge of the course as well as tons of people from the community who come out to support our youth. The proceeds from the race will benefit the St. Philip's Student Ministries which is made up of local middle and high school students from Moon, Cornell, West Allegheny, and other area schools.
Our goal is to raise money to help further the ministry of the group and give kids the opportunity to be part of a community that loves Jesus, loves one another, and seeks to make a difference in the world. We hope you can help us by joining us October 12, 2013
Event Start Location
8:30 am Start for both 5K and 10 mile races
Childrens events begin at 9:00 am

This is located across the street from the Cherrington plaza.
Course Description
The course is all on asphalt roads and is a mix of flat and rolling hills throughout. It is a bit challenging yet very picturesque as it winds its way through Moon Township, passing both Moon Township Park and the Country Club
Awards
Awards for both races will be: Top 3 overall male and female winners plus top 3 female and male in each of the following categories: 14-under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and up. Top overall male and female masters winners will also receive awards. All participants registered prior to 10/6/2012 are guaranteed a long sleeve tee (tech fiber) as our way of saying thank for giving of your time and money to this worthy cause. Those registering after this date will receive shirts while supplies last. Register early and get your friends to sign up as well.

Timing / Results
Timing will be done using an electronic chip assigned to eac runner for the 5K and 10 Mile events. Results will be available race morning at the awards and will be officially posted on the race website.
Post Race Activities
Most importantly, once again the HOT Apple Crisp will be back this year! Plus we will have even more food, music, and of course numerous prizes will be raffled. Prizes will be posted before the race is over and winners must be present to claim the prizes. Unclaimed prizes will be redrawn once after the 5K and then continuously after the 10M until all are given away.
Weather
If a cancellation is needed due to extreme weather or an emergency, it will be broadcast on WDVE and KDKA radio/TV and Posted no later than 6:00 am on www.eliterunners.com. No make-up date has been set as we plan on running in just about anything. It makes it more fun that way.
Directions
Take I-376 South to the Business Route 60 split. Follow the PA-60-Business Route exit towards Moon. Take the Thorn Run/Coraopolis exit. Bear Right off the ramp onto Thorn Run. Take 1st Left onto Cliff Mine Rd./Coraopolis Heights Rd. and travel 0.3 miles Turn Right on Beaver Grade Rd. Travel 0.2 miles, we're on the left.
Parking
Parking will be done across the street from St. Philips Church in the Cherrington office complex. We will have volunteers posted on the main roads to direct you to the proper areas.
