Run through the historic mining district’s challenging old mining roads and trails, and hit a high of 13,185 feet at Mosquito Pass during the Blueprint for Athletes Leadville Trail Marathon or Heavy Half Marathon. The views will leave you breathless, if you’re not already. The marathon will mark its 17th year in 2016, while the Heavy Half will mark its 11th.

100 block of E. 6th St.

Course Description
26.2 miles of breathtaking, Leadville Rocky Mountain trails, summiting notorious 13,185' Mosquito Pass.

Finisher medal to all finishers. Awards 3 deep in each age/gender category.

Post Race Activities
Awards ceremony and post race meal following race at 5 pm, 6th St. Gym

Ranges from high 30's to low 80's. Can run the gamut from bright sunshine to rain, hail, wind, sleet or snow. Racers should be prepared for anything, especially above timberline.

Leadville, the highest city in the nation, is 24 miles south of Copper Mountain on Hwy. 24.
