The Lake Placid Marathon & Half was named by a Runner's World Magazine reader survey as the "#2 Best Destination Race" in the USA (January 2010 issue). Cradled in the beautiful High Peaks region of New York's Adirondack Mountains, the Olympic Village of Lake Placid is the perfect setting for the race.

The race offers a Half Marathon or Marathon option. A free Kids Dash is also offered Race Weekend the day before the race.

The race begins at 8:00AM on Sunday, June 14, 2015. The Starting Line is located on Main Street in the heart of Lake Placid. The Race Finish is nearby in the famous Olympic Speed Skating Oval.

Course Description
Course:The two loop out and back course is best described as moderate rolling, some flat, with a few steep hills (as you reenter downtown Lake Placid after loop number one). It is a very scenic course which takes you around downtown’s Mirror Lake, and provides incredible distant views of the Adirondack High Peaks along most of the course.
