  This marathon takes place in the beautiful Park City area, home to many of the 2002 Olympic events (in fact, the ski jump hills are visible from the start line). August mornings are cool in the clear mountain air, and the low humidity is a nice change for the humidity found elsewhere in the country. The marathon is capped at 500 and the half marathon is capped at 700. The new Sinner Six 10k on the following morning means that the out of area runner can make Park City a runners destination weekend. Please see website for more details.

Course Description
This unique alpine loop offers a wide variety of sights, from Olympic venues, miners shacks and ski mansions all in a quiet mountain setting. Only a few miles are on city streets, the balance is on groomed gravel or paved bike paths. Run through mountain meadows, past rushing streams, beaver dams and wooden bridges while viewing the Wasatch Mountains. There is no other race course like it in the world! Aid stations every two miles, bands on course.

overall 1-2-3 male female in marathon & half marathon. Age group awards three deep in 5 year increments.

Thursday, August 19 at Wasatch Running Center in Sandy UT; Friday, August 20 near the start/finish.

Start is just two blocks off I-80, approx 30 minutes southeast from Salt Lake City. International airport is 35 minutes away.
