Join presenting sponsor Vera Bradley in supporting the Seaside Neighborhood School by participating in this race along highway 30-A in South Walton. The Seaside School Half Marathon and 5K Run is one of the top ranked road races in the Southeast United States. Last year over 3,000 runners from 42 states and 3 countries participated in the event.
All runners will receive a Vera Bradley gift and a moisture-wicking technical race shirt. Half Marathon runners also receive a race medal. New this year celebrating the 10th anniversary there will be a Friday night "Warm-Up" party as well as a post-race party including Jim 'n Nick's Bar-B-Q, drinks and music.
Both races are USATF certified and start and finish in downtown Seaside. The 13.1 mile half marathon course is out-and-back along scenic 30-A past the beach towns of WaterColor, Grayton and Blue Mountain, with a turn-around near Gulf Place. The course is fast and mostly flat, ensuring fast finish times for competitive runners. Start time for the half-marathon is 7:00 am and 7:30 am for the 5K.
Both races are walker-friendly, and walkers are welcome to participate. Space is limited! Last year's race sold out before the holidays! |

How to Avoid The Porta Potty During a Race
We've all seen it and most of us have done it ... 30 minutes (or less) into a race athletes are already looking for a port potty. The good news is that it doesn't have to be that way. The secret is a proper hydration plan before the gun goes off, and here's how you do it.

This was my first half marathon and you could not ask for a more beautiful place to run. Everything was great. Looking forward to next year. Todd Panama City, Florida |
