Founded in 1997 by Excel Orthopedic Rehabilitation (Click here to visit Excel Physical Therapy site) owners Gary Flink and Matt Gibble, Team Excel was formed to support many local triathletes in their continuing quest to improve their endurance and test their own physical limits.
Comprised of triathletes of varying abilities, from the elite athlete to the beginner, our athletes compete at triathlon distances ranging from the Ironman to short-distance sprint races.
As a team, along with the combined support of local and national sponsors, the athletes of Team Excel train, compete and travel together to help each other set and reach their own goals. Some qualify for the Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii while others are thrilled to simply improve their fitness and healthy way of life. The camaraderie and support that only being a part of a unified and cohesive team can provide makes each athlete’s individual goals easier to achieve.
