The Furman Triathlon Club is a recreational club open to students, faculty, staff at Furman University. The Furman Triathlon Club exists as a recreational, competitive, and social organization promoting participation in multi-sport events. The FTC operates around a team concept in which members are encouraged to train together, race together, support one another, and above all have fun together.
The Furman Triathlon Club is founded in the belief that multi-sport and cross-training is for everyone. Racing and competition is just a small piece of the pie, the real passion of multi sports is found in the training. Day after day, mile after mile, flip turn after flip turn, it is a love affair in which the thrill is never gone. This pleasure is best enjoyed in the company of like-minded souls.
The club is a registered club with USAT, the national governing body for the sport of triathlon and has been active for ten years. Club membership has increased each year since the establishment of the Furman Triathlon Club.
